The rail stays in place and doesn’t move around with movement on the bed. I love that it attaches to the crib frame. I had no problems with feeling the bar when laying on the mattress. Includes 2-bed rails and 3 mattress support slats. Full-size mattress and box spring required, not included. The convertible crib I have is brand- Babi Italia, style- parkland. Bed rails simply bolt onto the crib's long front and back sections. The company really cares about customer satisfaction and make any necessary changes needed to the rail. A couple days after receiving the product, I received a message from the company asking how everything was going with installation and they encouraged me to reach out if I had any problems. I took a chance and Bought it and I am so glad I did! It was easy to assemble! I was skeptical to buy this crib rail due to several of the other reviews. Very happy with this convertible crib rail! Quick and simple!I would HIGHLY recommend!! No crazy installation under the frame needed and no zip ties as many commented in their reviews they had to use. Kuddos to the company for fixing any issues previously listed in reviews! They now include straps that velcro to avoid it shifting once on and the bar that goes under the mattress is now flat so the mattress lays flat when mounted above the frame like it's supposed to be.
I am very pleased to say I followed the instructions for installation exactly as listed and not only were they easy, the rail is also sturdy and doesn't shift.

Despite the reviews expressing the difficulties installing and issues with how to install and it shifting I still ordered just because I usually am pretty handy with making things work. Examples include baby bedroom furniture, toddler bedroom furniture sets, quality used bunk beds and loft beds, used twin bedroom sets, convertible beds and. I always read reviews before ordering which is why I am writing this one to let others know that previous reviews expressing issues with installation and the rail shifting have either all been taken care of and corrected or I am just a master installer. The rail is sturdy too when leaned on.Now for assembly and installation.
